The Municipal VET institution "Vocational and Technical School No. 2" of the Dnipro City Council has a long history since 1895, when it was founded as a vocational and technical school at the factory named after K. Liebknecht. Over the years, the educational institution underwent a number of transformations, including being part of the system of labor reserves of the USSR. Today, the school is a leader in training highly qualified and competitive workers in Ukraine.
Implemented Projects
This short-term course was implemented within the framework of the SEQUA project "Quick Skills for Employment", implemented within the Skills4Recovery Program, which is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, acting on behalf of the German Federal Government. The curriculum and educational program of the three-month training course were compiled in advance based on the competencies defined by the leading industrial enterprise of the city of Dnipro, INTERPIPE NTRP, using German experience gained from the implementation of the project.
During three months, course participants completed training and received a worker's certificate for one of the key labor professions of the Dnipropetrovsk region - "Lathe Operator".
All course participants received the opportunity to find employment in enterprises and organizations in Dnipro and the region.
Future Prospects:
The project organizers hope for the further possibility of adapting vulnerable categories of the population, namely veterans and war invalids, internally displaced persons and unemployed youth, through training and retraining to open up a new path in life - work for the benefit of their families and Ukraine!
